Joyful Time to Thank GOD

Dear Beloved Church Family,

As we look back on the month of October, my heart is filled with gratitude for God’s faithfulness and the vibrant life He is stirring within our congregation. Truly, “God is good, all the time!” October has been a month overflowing with blessings, growth, and answered prayers.

We were privileged to welcome two guest speakers this month, each bringing timely messages that inspired and challenged us to draw closer to Christ. Their words have left a lasting impact and reminded us of the rich diversity of gifts within the body of Christ.

Our men’s retreat was held successfully, providing a sacred space for our brothers to reconnect with God and with one another. Bonds were deepened, and lives were encouraged. The women’s fellowship has also flourished, with sisters gathering together to study James 5. Their commitment to learning and supporting one another is a beautiful testimony of faith in action.

Our cell groups continue to nourish our spirits and build community. I am especially grateful for the start of our cell group prayer walks—what a powerful way to intercede for our neighborhoods and encourage one another! God is clearly at work, answering our prayers and guiding us step by step. Let us continue to celebrate His goodness together.

As we turn our hearts toward November, I want to share our promise verse for the month:

Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life. - Proverbs 22:4

தாழ்மைக்கும் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுதலுக்கும் வரும் பலன் ஐசுவரியமும் மகிமையும் ஜீவனுமாம். - நீதிமொழிகள் 22:4

This verse holds profound spiritual wisdom for our journey. When we walk in humility and reverence before God, we place ourselves in His loving hands. The blessings He promises—riches, honor, and life—remind us that God values a humble heart. These blessings are not just material, but spiritual: the richness of His presence, the honor of being His beloved children, and the fullness of life in Christ. Let us remember that humility is not weakness, but a source of true strength as we trust God above ourselves. May we seek His will above our own ambitions and serve others selflessly, knowing that His rewards are greater than anything the world can offer.

November is a season of Thanksgiving and Harvest. I encourage you to participate enthusiastically in our upcoming events and to be generous in your giving. On November 8th, we will welcome a special speaker to share God’s Word with us. Then, on November 15th, we will celebrate our annual Harvest Festival—a joyful time to thank God for His provision. We will also be collecting Samaritan’s Purse shoeboxes to bless children around the world. Please consider filling a box and sharing Christ’s love with those in need.

Our Love in Action ministry team is preparing to serve the Frederick Mission Project this month, feeding the hungry and sharing hope with our neighbors. Your prayers and financial support are vital to the success of all our ministries. Together, we are making a difference for Christ in our community and beyond.

Church family, let us move forward in faith, humility, and gratitude. May this season be marked by joyful service, generous hearts, and a deepening love for God and one another. I am thankful for each of you and the privilege of walking this journey together.

With love and blessings,

Rev. Dr. Devadosan Sugirtharaj

Pastor.
